This whole piece should have a sense of awe and the innocent sound of boy trebles. Absolutely no vibrato! The first six bars of the first soprano part could be sung by a soloist.

The other carols in the sequence are: A boy was born, The Virgin's cradle hymn and In excelsis gloria (all published by Canasg). Total duration c 5' 00.
