Cool
This is a song about that point when you know a relationship is finally over. It describes mixed feelings: on one hand hurt and cold but on the other a rebuilding of a sense of solid separate self.
Frances Cockburn's arrangement should stay cool and legato in the lower voices, while the upper voices convey something a bit more jagged and jilted in the opening line.
Words
cool
chilled through pale blue don't need you
steel blue self true away from you
sound sane whole again feel no pain
sane, sound unwound solid ground
floating free letting be being me
recharged empowered shimmering untouchable
clear blue seen through not for you
chilled through ice blue over you
