This piece tells a dramatic story of Andromeda's rescue by Perseus. The first two verses are delivered by the tenors and basses in a rap. The spoken pitches marked are only a guide; the main thing is that they should rise as the danger and excitement increase. The hissing and swishing sounds can be made by any mixed group (and by everyone at the end) - in the middle of the piece, take care that they don't drown the words.
The other two pieces in the trilogy are Moonscape and Ballad, also published by Canasg.

Words

Andromeda
On a mole-black night when the stars are bright
And the cloud-veiled moon is high,
If you search near the wings of Pegasus
You can see her in the sky.
Chained fast to a rock, she waits her fate
As the great sea-monster's prey;
As she hides in fear she can hear the hiss
Of Cetus on his way.
But wait, it's the swish of Pegasus' wings
With Perseus riding high!
On a mole-black night with the stars in flight
You can see them ride away.
